Chapter 1: The Unpleasant Reality of Airplane Hygiene
Airplanes are notorious for their lack of cleanliness, and I’m sure you’ve come across numerous articles detailing the unsanitary conditions found onboard.
The seat pocket in front of you, the meal tray, and even the touch screens are just a few of the areas that harbor germs. I thought I could handle that, but then I encountered something even more shocking. Are you ready? Let’s take a deep breath together.
I noticed a man wearing simple cotton socks—nothing out of the ordinary, as I also prefer comfy, fuzzy socks for flights. But just wait, it gets worse.
He walked to the lavatory without any shoes on. Yes, you heard that right—only socks! No flip-flops, no slippers, absolutely nothing else! Can you believe it?

I was nearly in shock. How can socks possibly protect your feet from the unseen horrors lurking on the floor of a public restroom? Are they somehow magically waterproof? The thought is too much to bear.
And what happens to those socks after the flight? I sincerely hope he disposes of them! That would be the bare minimum he could do. If he washes and reuses them, I would be utterly horrified. Witnessing this once was enough to leave me feeling ill. I’m forever traumatized.
The first video explains how a person's disgust sensitivity can reveal their broader moral beliefs.
Chapter 2: Airplane Etiquette for a Pleasant Journey
Now that I’ve effectively spoiled your dinner, what’s your most memorable airplane horror story? Perhaps someone changed a baby’s diaper on the meal tray? I’m cringing just thinking about it! It’s only fair to share the cringe-worthy experiences, so please send me your best tales!
The second video offers tips on how to express emotions of disgust creatively, drawing inspiration from the movie "Inside Out."
